Angellana Patterson

Hard at work. Do not disturb.

I often find myself procrastinating with everything. In this piece I wanted to bring humor and awareness to this unfortunate trait as I know myself and many of my peers struggle with it. Yet here I am, still procrastinating.

Artist Statement

My body of work seeks to explore human emotions by utilizing a variety of mediums that express my own emotional experiences. Additionally, I am driven to bring light to the importance of mental health and how it can affect the ways we see ourselves and the world around us. I am influenced by visual arts that illustrate a combination of both abstraction and realism to achieve a balance that allows the aspects of one art style to ebb into the other. As I continue to grow as a person, I look forward to seeing how my art changes with me.

Words of the Arist

Ever since I was little, I've always shared a love for art! My passion for creating soared when I had the opportunity to take art classes in high school and from that point on, I haven't stopped. My practice started with completing in-class assignments and grew to my own exploration of personal emotions. I am truly grateful for the privilege to express myself and share my art with others. I am excited to see where my practice takes me!
