I enjoy researching and experimenting with all different types of media and techniques. I usually do mixed media collage. Recently I've been trying different ways to show how Tunisian crochet can be seen as artistic collage. Having to use a limited colour palette (yarn) has also made me gain a much deeper knowledge and understanding of colour.

Hookers Are Artists Too, 2024, Acrylic yarn, 30" x 16"

This piece is a blatant example of displaying Tunisian crochet as an artistic work. Mounting it on wood is the biggest factor that pushes this into being seen as collage. It also demonstrates the textures and colour combinations that can be achieved using only acrylic yarn.
