Artist Biography

I am an artist who has been drawing for the majority of my life. Making art is always a fun process and is a way I can express complex feelings and thoughts without the use of the written word.

Cattle

As I wanted to explore painting backgrounds, I painted this composition of a cattle pasture on a summer day. This was originally a submission for an art scholarship in which the subject had to be related to southern Albertan culture. Cattle, representing the beef industry of Alberta, were the perfect subjects for a prairie field backdrop.

Untitled

This piece was inspired by the contemporary artist, Madoka Kinoshita. She was a very skilled traditional painter who created very clean compositions and flowy movement in her pieces. I wanted to embody her work and try to preserve her legacy now that she has been on an indefinite hiatus.
