My practice is directly rooted in my identity and personal experiences, taking inspiration from motifs such as cultural heritage, memory, and belonging. It is process-based, placing emphasis on repetition and the meditative quality of the physical act of making.
untitled, 2026, Oil on canvas, 18” x 24”
Untitled is a process-based oil painting that explores techniques of dry brushing and impasto, directly inspired by Egon Schiele. I employed these techniques to create a way of self-portraiture that challenges its historical narrative.
