Nhu, 2025
I tried to capture structure with quick sketches and colour, the vibrancy of the pencils blend smoother into the watercolours. Nhu is beautiful and exudes an air of tranquillity, always my muse.

My name is Fiona Paul and I try to dissect the world I perceive around me through art. I see the world as a bleak struggle to survive, but within the folds are some interesting moments I intend to shed light on and colour. People are a central focus of a lot of my works, but I would love to indulge in Calgary's picturesque landscapes and sceneries as I continue to explore media. A lot of my portfolios sleep at home in Nairobi and Nagercoil, but I intend to create as much as I can with the help of Calgary's art community.
Night out, 2025
Before winter sets in, I enjoyed the night out in downtown, and after a quick hit the lights and the shapes become softer and familiar. This would be my first self portrait after starting Univeristy and I can't tell who I look like.

My first piece after moving to Calgary, I worked with a medium that wasn't alien to me with a person just as familiar. Playing with the different lights reflected across her skin was a journey and a learning curve.
