Artist Statement
My art celebrates the beauty and complexity of the human body, inspired by my research in women’s health. Through drawing, I merge my scientific curiosity with creative expression, capturing the resilience, strength, and vulnerability that define women’s experiences in medicine. I aim to highlight the body not just as a subject of study, but as a work of art that tells stories of empowerment, healing, and confidence for women who may feel hesitation in embracing their own strength.
She Grows, 2025
This piece reflects the strength, complexity, and beauty of women’s health. The spine, a symbol of strength and support, intertwines with blooming flowers to represent growth, healing, and vitality. Inspired by my research in women’s health, this piece reveals how women’s bodies carry the weight of societal expectations yet remain vessels of strength, endurance, and quiet resilience. The merging of anatomy and nature highlights the beauty of empowerment found in women’s ability to heal, nurture, and rise stronger through every challenge.
