Children of the Valley
The two figures dancing through the mountainous landscape blend into the painting, signifying how people are one with nature. Essentially, everyone is a child of the valley. We all have the ability to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty it has to offer.

Artist statement
In my artwork, I am drawn to the mountainous landscape and objects of many colors. Just like how in nature, random patterns may appear, I am learning how to embrace random patterns in my artwork. To achieve this goal, I am learning to experiment with new techniques to create random patterns. It is a journey that requires me to lose control over my artwork and embrace any mistakes, but I look forward to where these techniques will lead me.
How did you start your art practice?
From a young age I had an interest in painting that has continued to grow as I have gotten older. It was not until high school that I developed a love for oil paints and the techniques they have to offer. The art courses I have taken in university continue to push my technique further. I feel this is only the beginning of my art career and I look forward to how I will grow as an artist in the future.
