Spark

Spark (photography and digital manipulation) is a self-portrait that attempts to externalize the internal world of the artist. Intense and conflicting feelings are projected onto the subject as lightning, while layers of editing and effects are added to the work to convey the complexity of the subject's internal state.

inspiration

Many of Isi's pieces are inspired by the desire to externalize the internal feelings of the subject into a visual representation. Isi's inspiration comes from the unseen parts of her subjects, often surrounding their internal dilemmas and struggles. Isi enjoys layering techniques of photography, projection, and digital editing that reflect the layers of her subject's experiences.
