Devil’s chair

The Devil’s Chair is a sculpture that highlights what furniture would look like in a world without art. In this artwork, everyday utensils and materials are utilized to provide a sense of discomfort, and dystopian emotion through the use of an achromatic color palette. The chair can be imagined to have come out of a graveyard that does not consider the design and aesthetic that art would focus on. For this reason, the chair is designed in a manner to not be functional or durable. Hence, a world without art would feel dead, chaotic, and disconnected.
