My artistic practice consists of combining the opposites of the natural day to day world we see around us, along with the surreal. I’m a developing artist carving my way into the world by honing my skills with varying mediums and practices, I do what I can so I may one day look back and be proud of my own achievements.

FIRE

Fire; a black and white image of a small pile of logs, burning in the dark. Otherwise known as a campfire.

 Artist Statement

I wish to create works of art that draw from within the mind and how our minds can play tricks on us—like when we look at something and mistake it for something else. But our most primal thoughts are born when we stare into the dark and imagine things that aren’t there. We made ourselves fear the dark, and to fight against that fear, we created fire to play with the shadows.

WARMTH

Warmth; a small candle burning in the dark surrounded by a collection of dimly lit hands.
