Artist Biography
I am a fourth-year Visual Studies student, learning about the art trade and what it takes to become a professional artist. As someone new and unfamiliar with what it entails to not only create art at an expert level but also what one needs to do to apply for and even create exhibitions and display your art.
Inspiration
I draw my inspiration and influence from the contrast between surrealism and realism, the uncanny mixture of the impossible and the grounded reality we are more familiar with. Many artists have done works depicting clear imagery of real things and others delved into the fantastical realm of surrealism, but what I intend to do is to mix these two opposite sides of a coin and create art not unlike dreams seeping into what we perceive as reality.
