BFA Visual Studies, 4th Year

My artist practice is rooted in experimentation, moving fluidly between mediums, often focusing on the process of making. While my materials may shift, my work consistently returns to themes grounded in the natural world. Recently, my work has focused on the body and personal connection, using my practice as a form of reflection and processing. My own body has become a central subject – something I am continually learning to understanding, live with, and adapt to – making both my work and creatives processes spaces for intimacy, exploration, and healing.

Entity of My Pain II, 2026, Acrylic, 36" x 24"

Entity of My Pain (I, II & III) is a series of self-portraits that are a visualization of how chronic pain manifests within my body. By creating a tangible representation of an internal, frequently invisible experience, my work seeks to make the invisible visible. My pain is portrayed as a distinct form, an entity, that resides within my body and is molded by the ways in which it is felt both physically and emotionally. The figures, appearing to glow from within, illustrate my pain as something that radiates, spreads, and persists throughout my body. Rooted in my experience with whole-body chronic pain, these works function as both documentation and interpretation, transforming feeling into form.
